Umdat al-Ahkam (al-Maqdisi) 283عمدة الأحكام 283
عن أبي المنهال قال: «سألت البراء بن عازب وزيد بن أرقم، عن الصرف؟ فكل واحد يقول: هذا خير مني. وكلاهما يقول: نهى رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - عن بيع الذهب بالورق دينا».
Narrated Abu Al-Minhal: I asked Al-Bara' bin `Azib and Zaid bin Arqam about money exchanges. Each of them said, "This is better than I," and both of them said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade the selling of silver for gold on credit. "
