Umdat al-Ahkam (al-Maqdisi) 322عمدة الأحكام 322
عن أنس بن مالك - رضي الله عنه -: «أن رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - رأى عبد الرحمن بن عوف، وعليه ردع زعفران. فقال النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: مهيم؟ فقال: يا رسول الله تزوجت امرأة، فقال: ما أصدقتها؟ قال: وزن نواة من ذهب قال: فبارك الله لك، أولم ولو بشاة».
Anas b. Malik reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) saw the trace of yellowness on 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Auf and said: What is this? Thereupon he said: Allah's Messenger, I have married a woman for a date-stone's weight of gold. He said: God bless you! Hold a wedding feast, even if only with a sheep.
