Umdat al-Ahkam (al-Maqdisi) 59عمدة الأحكام 59
عن عبد الله بن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: «شهد عندي رجال مرضيون - وأرضاهم عندي عمر - أن النبي - صلى الله عليه وسلم - نهى عن الصلاة بعد الصبح حتى تطلع الشمس، وبعد العصر حتى تغرب».
Abu Huraira is reported to have said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited to observe prayer after the 'Asr prayer till the sun is set, and after the dawn till the sun rises.
